Fitted, stretch or throw — how do I choose? +
Throw first if you share equipment or travel to venues that supply mismatched tables, because a loose drape forgives a few inches either way. Fitted if the table is yours and consistent: sewn corners keep the front panel flat, which is the surface a visitor really reads. Stretch if the look matters more than the flexibility — taut spandex photographs beautifully but is cut to one size.
My table is 6ft. Can I use an 8ft cover, or the other way round? +
No, and it is the most common ordering mistake we see. An 8ft cover on a 6ft table pools at the corners and drags on the floor where people walk. A 6ft cover on an 8ft table leaves bare table at each end, which reads as a mistake from across the aisle. Measure your own table, because trestle and rental sizes vary.
Where should the logo actually sit? +
Centred on the front panel, roughly at the height of a seated person's eyeline, and large enough to read from the far side of the aisle. Two mistakes recur: placing the logo low, where a chair or a visitor's legs cover it all day, and running artwork across the top surface, which vanishes under a brochure stand. Keep the top plain and leave the ends for a URL.
How should artwork be supplied, and what happens at the corners? +
Send vector artwork or high-resolution raster built to the flat pattern, not to the table's face dimensions — the cover is sewn from a larger piece, and a design measured to the front panel alone ends up short. Our team lays your logo and copy onto the correct template and returns a free 2D mockup showing where each element lands. Watch strong horizontal lines at the corner seam.
Can you match our exact brand colours? +
Dye-sublimation prints in CMYK, so a Pantone spot colour is reproduced as the nearest achievable four-colour build rather than an exact match. Send the Pantone codes with your artwork and we will tell you before printing if one sits in a difficult range. The mockup is a screen render, useful for layout but not a colour proof, and screens flatter saturated colours.
How do I wash a printed tablecloth? +
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, no bleach, no fabric softener, and let it air dry. The dye is inside the fibre rather than sitting on the surface, so laundering will not fade the graphic — coffee, wine and marker are what you are washing out, not ink. Treat spills at the show with cold water and a cloth. Stretch fabrics should never see a hot dryer.
What is the difference between a skirt with a top and one without? +
A skirt with a top includes the printed table surface, so it is a complete solution and you need nothing from the venue. A skirt without a top clips to the table edge and leaves the surface exposed, which is what you want when the hall supplies its own linen or the table top is worth showing. Skirts also suit long registration runs, hiding the joins between tables.
It arrived creased. Will that settle? +
Almost always. Fold lines relax once the cloth is under tension on the table, which is a good reason to unpack during move-in rather than in the last minutes before opening. If a crease refuses to drop, a handheld steamer worked from the underside clears it — keep a dry iron away from the printed face. Stretch covers recover fastest.
