What is in a kit, and what do I still have to buy? +

A kit covers the structure: the backlit SEG panels, the connecting hardware, graphics printed to fit, and whatever counter or shelving that model lists. It does not cover the venue's side — electrical service, flooring, furniture beyond what the model includes, or a mounted screen. Read the inclusions on the model page, since they vary, and budget separately for electrical and cases.

How do I know a model fits my booth? +

Compare drawings, not photographs. Each model lists its finished dimensions and layout, so check three things against the floor plan from your organizer: total width against the back edge, depth against how far forward you may build, and open sides against where traffic arrives from. If two models look close, send both numbers and your floor plan to support@backdropsource.ca.

What electrical do I need to order from the venue? +

One service order covering the whole kit, placed when you book the space rather than on site, where the price climbs. Tell the venue how many outlets you want and where — a floor drop inside the structure beats a wall feed that crosses the aisle. Run cables along the path the kit is designed for, and test every panel before graphics go on.

How long does a full kit take to build? +

Plan half a day for your first build and two to three hours once you know it. The work is sequential: lay out and identify components, assemble the frame sections, connect and test the lighting, then skin each panel. Two people can manage most models, and three is faster on tall panels. Assembly is tool-free or uses the supplied keys.

How does artwork work across a booth's worth of panels? +

Treat it as one design split across faces, not as several posters. Send layered files with each panel labelled to its position in the layout, and you will get a free 2D mockup of the whole configuration. Watch for logos landing where a shelf, counter or corner interrupts them, keep type clear of the silicone edge, and give lit faces deeper mid-tones.

Can I change the configuration later, or reprint just one panel? +

Both, within reason. The panels and hardware are modular, so a kit can be built smaller than its full layout for a tighter space — many exhibitors buy the largest configuration they need and run a subset at regional shows. Individual graphics can be reprinted on their own. What you cannot do is invent a layout the hardware was not designed for.

How do these kits travel, and what does delivery cost? +

Shipping is free to Canadian addresses, and a full kit arrives across several packages, so check everything against the packing list on the day it lands rather than in the week of the show. Between shows, cases matter: soft bags will not protect extrusion and LED components through freight handling. If you ship the kit onward yourself, keep the packed weights.

How is this different from the non-lit folding SEG booth kits? +

Light and mechanism. These kits are backlit, so every panel needs power and the build includes a wiring and testing stage. The folding kits have no electrical component at all, and their frames stay hinged together, which makes them far quicker to open and close. Choose lit kits for photographic artwork; choose folding kits when you travel often and cannot count on power.
