Wall-Mounted SEG Fabric Frames

Wall-mounted SEG frames fix a slim aluminum profile to the wall once; the printed fabric pushes into the channel on its silicone edge and pulls back out when the campaign turns over. Six depths run from almost flush to a deliberate object, for retail, offices, showrooms and permanent installs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a wall-mounted SEG fabric display? +
A slim aluminum frame fixed to the wall once, with a dye-sublimation printed fabric panel that pushes into the channel on its silicone edge and pulls back out when the message changes. The frame and the paint stay untouched, so there is no adhesive residue, no repainting and no rigid panel going in a bin. Six depths are offered, from 0.8 inches up to 4.7 inches.
Which depth should I order? +
Work backwards from the room. If the graphic should disappear into the wall, in a corridor, a boardroom or a minimal interior, take the shallowest frame you can. On a large, pale, empty wall a shallow frame can look like a poster; the 1.57" and 2.4" depths give a shadow line that separates graphic from surface. Deeper frames suit lobbies and showrooms with high ceilings.
What kind of wall can these go on? +
Drywall with studs, concrete, block and most panel systems all work; the frame is aluminum and light for its size, so the wall is rarely the constraint. What matters is the right fixing for the substrate: anchors rated for hollow drywall where you cannot hit studs, masonry fixings into concrete, and a level line struck before anything goes in.
How long does installation take? +
An afternoon for a first panel, much less after that. The frame goes up in sections, so the real work is measuring, levelling and marking. Two people make anything wide far easier, mostly for holding a level line while the other drills. Once the frame is square, the fabric goes in last and takes minutes. Vacuum the channel first, because drywall dust damages a bead.
Can I cover a whole wall, or is there a size limit? +
Large formats are normally built as several panels rather than one, and that is a feature. Multiple frames butted together let you replace one section instead of the whole run, and they are far easier to get into a building and up a stairwell. Plan the artwork around the joins, putting divisions where the design has natural breaks rather than through a wordmark.
What is the fabric, and how do I clean it? +
Dye-sublimation printed on PVC-free polyester that is machine-washable, wrinkle-resistant and fire-retardant as a property of the material. Dust the face with a soft brush or a vacuum on low suction. When it needs more, take the panel out, wash cool and gentle with mild detergent, no bleach or softener, hang it to dry and refit it slightly damp so it tensions flat.
How is this different from an SEG pop-up display? +
Same graphic technology, opposite use case. An SEG pop-up collapses into a case and travels to a show floor, so its frame carries the compromises portability demands. These frames do not travel. They mount to a wall and stay there, which lets them be slimmer, cleaner in profile and offered in a range of depths. Buy these for a permanent branded wall you can re-skin cheaply for years.
How do I change the graphic and place an order? +
Pull the bead out of the channel with your fingers starting at a bottom corner, fold the old panel and feed in the new one, with no tools and no wall touch-ups. Reorders need only the frame model and panel dimensions. Send wall dimensions to support@backdropsource.ca or call +1 (867) 675-0399 for a panel split. Free shipping across Canada and a 1-year warranty.
