What is an SEG pop-up display? +

A collapsible aluminum frame with a printed fabric face. SEG means silicone edge graphic: a bead sewn into the fabric edge push-fits into a channel around the frame, so the panel tensions flat and the aisle sees one continuous surface with no tape lines or visible fixings. The frame locks without tools and folds back into a wheeled case.

How long does setup take, and do I need help? +

Two people and about twenty minutes for a straight wall, and most of that is the fabric rather than the frame. The frame expands and locks with no tools. Start the silicone bead at a top corner, work along the top edge, then the sides, leaving the bottom last so you can pull the slack out. On a backlit frame, mount the lights first.

What booth sizes and events do these suit? +

Match the wall to the booth. A single straight SEG pop-up fills the back of a 10 ft inline trade show booth with room each side for a counter or a case. In a 10 x 20, run two walls with a deliberate break, or one wall plus a curved media wall angled into the aisle. The same frames work as photo backdrops at launches and conferences.

Can I build function into the same wall? +

What are the graphics printed on? +

Dye-sublimation printed on PVC-free polyester that is machine-washable, wrinkle-resistant and fire-retardant as a property of the material rather than a coating. Colour is strong and even, though very dark solid fills read slightly softer on fabric than on paper. Wash cool with mild detergent, no bleach or softener, and hang to dry. Wipe grit out of the frame channels before packing, since that shreds a bead.

How do these travel between shows? +

Frame and graphics pack into a wheeled case and the fabric travels folded. The polyester is wrinkle-resistant, so fold marks relax once the graphic is tensioned in the channel. Fold along the same lines each time and keep the fabric in its own bag so it never rubs against frame ends. Book the case as checked freight rather than carry-on, and label it on two faces.

How is this different from a standard fabric pop-up display? +

Both fold down and both use printed polyester; the difference is at the edge. A standard fabric pop-up in our Pop-Up Banner Displays range attaches the graphic with hook-and-loop tape or wraps it over the frame, which is quicker and cheaper but leaves tape lines and a softer edge. SEG presses a bead into a channel, so the fabric sits tight and flat with no visible fixings.
