Interlocking Trade Show Flooring

Interlocking Floor Carpet is a snap-together tile system for exhibitors who would rather not stand all day on concrete: tiles join edge to edge with an integral joint, so there is no adhesive and no tape residue at teardown. Lay whatever rectangle the booth needs and swap one stained tile instead of the floor.

We've ordered from several suppliers — none come close to this level of quality and service. Will 100% reorder.

The free 2D design mockup sold us immediately. Exactly what we saw in the preview was what arrived at our door.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to know about the subfloor? +
Almost nothing, which is the point. Interlocking tiles sit loose on whatever the venue gives you — bare concrete, painted concrete, the hall's own thin carpet — with no adhesive and no underlay. Sweep first, because grit trapped under a tile makes the surface feel uneven. Check for a drain, a floor box or a service pit in your footprint, and mention a noticeable slope when you order.
What tools do I need to install it? +
None for a standard layout. Tiles press together by hand and the joint holds without fixings, which is why two people can floor a small booth quickly and why the process does not need the venue approval adhesives sometimes do. A tape measure and knee pads help. If your footprint does not divide evenly into whole tiles, confirm the recommended cutting method for that tile.
How do the edges finish, and will people trip? +
The exposed edge where your floor meets the hall decides whether the install looks professional. A raised tile edge left square is a trip point and shows as a hard line in photographs. Edging or ramp strips bevel that transition down to the venue surface so foot traffic flows on and off. Check what edge treatment suits your tile, and ask support@backdropsource.ca if the product page is unclear.
Can I run cables underneath? +
That is one of the better reasons to raise the floor at all. The cavity beneath the tiles takes power leads, extension runs and data cables out of the walking line, which removes the taped-down cable and the safety conversation with it. Plan the routes first: mark where the counter, screen and lighting sit, run cable to those points, then close the tiles over it.
How do I clean it during and after a show? +
Vacuum at the end of each day, because a hall floor collects an impressive amount of dust and paper. Deal with spills immediately using cold water and a cloth, working from the outside of the mark inwards, and avoid soaking the joint. Individual tiles lift out, so a badly stained one is cleaned separately or replaced. Let tiles dry fully before stacking.
How is this different from a rented carpet roll? +
Damage stays local. A scuffed or stained tile is swapped rather than condemning the whole floor. The same set adapts to a 10x10 one month and an inline 10x20 the next, tiles stack flat for transport, teardown releases joint by joint with nothing to scrape, and you own the floor instead of renting it each show. For an uninterrupted premium surface, choose Custom Velvet Carpet.
How many tiles do I need, and how do I order? +
Work from the coverage area stated on the product page rather than a rule of thumb, and measure your own footprint instead of trusting the floor plan, because pillars and service boxes eat into the space. Round up and add a small margin for damaged or missing tiles. Send booth dimensions to support@backdropsource.ca and our team will check the arithmetic. Shipping across Canada is free.
