SEG Truss Banner Displays

SEG truss displays add height and an engineered look with nothing suspended from the ceiling, so no rigging order is needed. Aluminum truss sections carry seamless silicone edge graphics, and sections combine, so the same inventory runs straight at one show and turns a corner at the next. Assembly is tool-free.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an SEG truss banner display? +
An aluminum truss frame carrying silicone edge graphics. The truss gives vertical presence and an engineered look; the fabric, dye-sublimation printed on PVC-free polyester, push-fits into channels on its silicone bead so the face stays seamless. Nothing is suspended from the ceiling, so there is no rigging order and no approval process. The Modular SEG Truss Tower Display is the narrow build.
How long does assembly take, and how many people? +
Plan on two people. Truss sections connect quickly and the hardware is designed for hand assembly, but the pieces are long, so a second pair of hands helps. A tower goes together faster than a wide wall. Build the frame, get it stable, then fit the fabric: feed the bead in along one full side first and finish on the opposite edge so tension pulls even.
Do I need overhead rigging or show labour? +
No rigging, which is the point. These builds stand on the floor, so you avoid the official rigging contractor and the lead times and approvals that come with anything suspended overhead. Labour rules are separate and depend on the venue and the show: some halls require union labour, some let exhibitors build their own displays. Check the exhibitor manual under installation and dismantle.
How tall can I build, and what decides that? +
Two things, and neither is the display. First, the show's own height rules: most organizers cap inline booths well below what island spaces are allowed, and the limits are published in the exhibitor manual. Second, the ceiling and any structure above your space, which varies from hall to hall. Tell us the maximum height your booth category allows and we will confirm which build fits.
Will the truss show through the printed fabric? +
Not on the printed face. The graphic tensions across the front of the frame and the bead locks into the channel, so the aisle sees a flat, continuous surface. What to account for is where structure sits behind very pale, flat artwork under strong hall light; busier imagery and mid-tone brand colours hide everything. Artwork assistance and the 2D mockup are free.
How is this different from an SEG fabric pop-up wall? +
A fabric wall is a background: it sits behind your people and carries the message, and in a 10 ft inline booth it wins on cost and pack size. Truss is architecture. It defines the edges of a space, holds height and looks deliberate rather than decorative. Choose truss for an island space, a hall with tall neighbours, or a product that needs a structural setting.
How does it pack, travel and get reused? +
Sections break down into bags or a case and the fabric folds separately. Truss is the heavier part of any booth kit, so treat load-out as a two-person job and use the wheels; keep hardware in a labelled pouch, because loose pins stall a build. Shipping is free across Canada, and a reprint needs only the frame configuration and panel sizes, sent to support@backdropsource.ca.
