We've ordered from several suppliers — none come close to this level of quality and service. Will 100% reorder.

The free 2D design mockup sold us immediately. Exactly what we saw in the preview was what arrived at our door.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a retractable roll up banner stand? +
A printed fabric graphic that winds out of an aluminum cassette and winds back in just as fast. The base sits on the floor, a support pole clips together, and the graphic hooks to the top rail. It is the cheapest route to branded floor presence and the piece most exhibitors use most often, at the aisle edge of a booth or beside a registration desk.
How quickly does one go up? +
Under two minutes, one person, no tools. Stand the base flat, snap the support pole together, pull the graphic up by the top rail and hook it to the pole. Winding it back in needs care: guide the fabric down with one hand so it feeds into the cassette straight, because a graphic that goes in crooked comes out with a crease down one edge.
What size should I order, and where should it stand? +
Standard roll up widths suit a single message read from a few metres away, with the graphic running from roughly knee height to above eye level. Place it at the front corner of your booth angled slightly into the aisle, never flat against the back wall. In a foyer, keep it out of the traffic line and near a decision point.
Is the budget model good enough, or should I spend more? +
Print quality is the same across the range, so the decision is how hard the stand will work. The Budget Fabric Roll Up Banner is fine for a few internal events a year with careful storage. If it lives in a car and gets set up weekly in a busy aisle, buy the heavier Silver Step base: cheap bases tip when knocked and their mechanisms start dragging.
Are double-sided, teardrop or X-frame options worth it? +
Double-sided is worth it wherever people approach from two directions, which covers almost every aisle and foyer: two messages in one footprint and no blank grey back. The Teardrop Fabric Roll Up Banner reads as a silhouette from across a hall before anyone can make out the text. Fabric X-Banner Stands are the lightest, cheapest way to hold a spot for an afternoon.
How is this different from a fabric backdrop or pop-up wall? +
Scale and purpose. A roll up banner is a sign: one message, seen at close range, up in two minutes. A pop-up backdrop or media wall is an environment: it sets the colour of the whole space and photographs as a background behind your people. The realistic kit for a 10 ft booth is a back wall plus one or two roll ups.
How do these travel and store? +
Each stand comes with a padded carry bag and is light enough for checked baggage or a walk in from short-term parking. Carry it upright, and never lay a loaded cassette under anything heavy, because a dented cassette lip scuffs the graphic every time it winds through. Store the banner retracted, upright, dry and out of direct sun.
What does the artwork need to allow for, and how do I order? +
Design to the template we send and pay attention to the bottom of the file: a strip at the base disappears into the cassette, so no logo, phone number or tagline belongs there. Put the message in the top third. Send vector art or high-resolution images to support@backdropsource.ca or call +1 (867) 675-0399; artwork assistance and the 2D mockup are free.
