Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the Tension Fabric Backdrop Walls collection? +
Same fabric and the same zip-on principle, different geometry and a different job. That collection is flat and near-flat planes for your primary back wall, priced and sized to be the workhorse. This one is arches, waves, cones, kites, towers and letters, pieces bought because the silhouette itself does something. A wall first, lighting second, then one shaped piece.
Which shape works in a 10x10 booth? +
Vertical ones. Tall Cone Advertising Display and Kite Shaped Fabric Display claim almost no floor and buy you height, which is the only dimension you have spare in a 10x10. A tower works too, provided you can use its surfaces for product. An arch does not: it needs about a metre of approach on either side plus headroom.
Will my logo distort on a curved or angled surface? +
It would if the artwork were laid out flat and stretched afterwards, which is not how these are made. Shaped covers are built from a template cut for that specific frame, and your artwork is placed on the template so the panel reads correctly once tensioned. Put the logo on the flattest part, and check the free 2D mockup before approving.
Are shaped frames harder to put up than a straight wall? +
Somewhat, and the difference is in the fabric rather than the frame. Curved and angled tubing is still tool-free or close to it, but the cover only seats one way and forcing it the wrong way round costs you ten minutes and a scuff mark. Budget an hour for a first arch or tower build and half that afterwards, with two people.
Do these stand up on their own, or do they need weight? +
Freestanding shapes here are designed to stand on their own feet on a level floor, and on a carpeted hall floor that is enough. What catches exhibitors out is traffic: an arch or cone with a narrow base beside a busy aisle will get bumped. Set shaped pieces back from the drape line and put your heaviest item on the aisle side.
Can I reprint the graphic on a shaped frame? +
Yes, and you order it by frame model and size, not by dimensions you have measured yourself. Shaped covers are cut to a template, so a hand measurement taken around a curve will not give us what we need. Quote the product name and any order reference you have. Expect a shaped reprint to cost more than a flat one.
Can I use these for events other than trade shows? +
That is where several of them earn back their cost. 3D Heart Shape Backdrop and 360° Branding Round Backdrop are built for photo lines, and the freestanding letter and number stands turn up at anniversaries, product launches and conference stages more often than in booths. The test is whether the venue has a level floor and a clear approach.
