How is this different from the Custom-Shaped Tension Media Walls collection? +

Everything here is a flat or gently curved plane, a rectangle, an arc or a repeating panel. It is the category you buy from when the job is to put a graphic behind a booth and be done with it. The custom-shaped collection covers silhouettes that are not rectangles: arches, waves, cones, kites and towers. Buy your primary back wall here.

Straight or curved, which should I buy? +

Buy straight unless you have a specific reason not to. A straight wall gives the most usable graphic area per dollar, packs flatter and reprints cheaply. The curve buys two real things: it stands stably without feet splayed into your walkway, and it opens up roughly a metre of hidden space behind it. Pay for the curve on a corner or peninsula booth.

What do I do if the fabric looks slack once it is on the frame? +

Slack almost always means the cover is not seated, not that it is the wrong size. Zip it fully closed at the bottom, then work the seams into the corners one at a time, pulling the fabric down and outward rather than sideways. If it still sags, check that no frame section is telescoped short.

Can I join two walls to fill a 20ft booth? +

Yes, and it is usually the better buy over a single 20ft frame: two 10ft frames give you a 20ft back wall this year and two separate 10ft booths later. Butt the frames tight and align the top rails before you zip either cover on. For an invisible join, order both graphics as a matched pair from one artwork file.

How many people and how much time for setup? +

Two people, thirty minutes, for a 10ft wall. One person can manage it, but the cover fights back and you end up walking around the frame repeatedly. The frame alone is tool-free and takes about ten minutes, and taller frames such as the 10.5ft version want two people for safety. Build the frame flat, stand it up, then dress it.

How do I lay out a step-and-repeat so the logos read properly? +

Set the repeat so a whole logo lands at head height across the middle of the frame, then let the pattern run off the edges. Centring the pattern on the panel fails, because subjects stand in the centre and block the one row that mattered. Stagger alternating rows, and keep the mark readable in a phone photo taken from three metres.

How does one of these ship and pack? +

Frame poles and the folded cover travel together, and shipping is free across Canada. The frame breaks into short sections that fit a wheeled case, and the cover folds down to roughly the size of a jacket. The case rather than the packing decides whether the kit survives, so order a hard case if you exhibit more than once.

When should I reprint versus buy a new frame? +

Reprint. The frame is aluminum tubing and does not wear out in normal use, while the graphic marks at the fold lines and goes out of date. Buy a new frame only if you are changing size or shape.
