Frequently Asked Questions

How is this collection different from the other backdrop collections? +
It is a way in rather than a product family. Every item here also lives in a collection organized by what the thing actually is: tension fabric, pop-up, accessories. This page is sorted by the space a display occupies, for people who know their booth dimensions and nothing else yet. Use it to shortlist, then click through for frame details.
What actually fits in a 10x10 booth? +
A back wall, one counter, two staff, and your cases hidden behind or under something. On paper a 10x10 is a little over nine square metres; in practice the front half-metre belongs to the aisle and the back edge is storage, so you are furnishing about six. A full-width wall plus a counter set at an angle leaves a diagonal walk-in.
How much display do I need for a 20x20 island? +
Less than you would think in graphic area and more than you would think in height. An island is seen from four sides, so you need something readable from thirty metres up high plus clear sightlines at eye level. Two back-to-back walls in the centre with open corners beats a perimeter that fences the booth off. Confirm rigging rules first.
Where exactly does my booth boundary sit when I measure? +
Measure to the pipe-and-drape line or the taped floor marks and treat that as a hard edge, because organizers do. Your booked 10 feet includes the frame feet, the graphic that bows out slightly under tension, and anything leaning against the wall. Tape the dimensions out at your office and walk the space before you order.
Is there a height limit on displays? +
Yes, and it varies by hall and by booth type. Inline booths are usually held to a lower height at the front with taller structure permitted at the back, while island booths get more vertical latitude. Read the exhibitor kit for your show, because the rules at one venue are not the rules at another. As a working number, 8ft is safe for an inline back wall.
Can I use the same display in different booth sizes? +
Plan for it, because your booth size will change. The pattern that survives is modular: buy two narrower frames rather than one wide one, so a 20ft back wall this spring becomes two 10ft booths next autumn. Shelving units and light boxes travel best. Tell us the smallest booth you expect to work in and we will size to that.
How do I choose a size when I have not booked the booth yet? +
Assume 10x10 and buy something that scales. Almost every first booth is an inline 10x10, and those displays keep working in aisles, lobbies and recruiting events between shows. Buy the widest back wall that fits ten feet, one counter and lighting. If you have already signed for an island, send the floor plan to support@backdropsource.ca and we will spec against the drawing.
